NEW ECOTOURISM CONCEPT WITH RAMMED EARTH
KALBA BEACH, U.A.E. – 3deluxe developed an sustainable beach oasis 60 miles east of the Dubai metropolitan region with a strong focus on sustainability. Construction has now begun. The urban development stretches 1.3 kilometers along the shoreline of Kalba Beach, covers 30,000 square meters and consists of more than 15 buildings for restaurants, cafés, play and sports facilities and other amenities for beachgoers.
The entire project is being built almost exclusively from natural materials. The urban development area is embedded in a newly created biotope of indigenous plants. The aim is to achieve the lowest possible CO2 footprint during construction and operation. A significant feature of the project are the restaurant and café buildings made of “rammed earth”.
